Winter Poinsettia - Winter Wonderland Collection Card Tutorial

Winter Poinsettia - Winter Wonderland Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

For an elegant, stylish floral Christmas card, look no further than today's tutorial by the talented Rebecca. Using the recently-launched Winter Wonderland collection, in particular the pretty poinsettia flowers, the stamp and die sentiment combo, and the papers, vellum, and acetate, Rebecca has delivered beautiful results that would also work well as a box lid topper or box frame design.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with linked materials list.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Create a 7¾”-square panel from foiled paper and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of white card to 7¼” square and edge with a chisel-tip glue pen. Cover in Stardust Silver Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Cut a 7” square from printed vellum and affix to the card (around the edges) using foam pads. Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square and run through the Blizzard embossing folder. Die-cut an oval from the panel, as shown. Affix to the card using foam pads.

3 Stamp four large, three medium and three small Wonderland Poinsettias onto Aquamarine pearl paper using a clear embossing inkpad. Heat-emboss using Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder then die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape each leaf by creating a valley fold down the centre and layering together. Apply lines of dries-clear glue to the centre and cover in Sleigh Bells Sparkelicious glitter. Add a sparkler to the centre.

4 Cut out some Foiled Foliage and apply dries-clear glue to the back. Cover in Stardust Silver Sparkelicious glitter and leave to dry. Once dry, affix the foliage and the poinsettias to the card using 3D glue gel. Apply three dots of glue to each corner and a few dots around the poinsettias then add on crystals from the Bling Box.

5 Die-cut the Merry Christmas die from Crystal White pearl card and stamp the matching sentiment using a clear embossing inkpad. Heat-emboss using Glacier embossing powder. Affix to the centre of the oval using a double layer of foam pads to finish.
