O Holy Night - Christmas Angel Cardmaking Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's festive-themed blog tutorial is a stunning white and gold depiction of the very first Christmas, featuring the Bethlehem skyline, visiting wise men, and a heralding angel. The super-talented Rebecca has mastered up this beautiful creation using a selection of products from the recently-launched Christmas Angel collection. As well as making a terrific Christmas card, this design would also be perfect as a box-framed scene to hang up in the home during the festive period.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with linked materials list.

        WHAT YOU NEED:

        INSTRUCTIONS:

Create a 7¾”-square panel from gold mirror card and affix to the card blank using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of patterned paper to 7½” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Quartz pearl card to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim another sheet of patterned paper, this time to 6¾”, and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Finally, create a 6½”-square panel from Quartz pearl card, edge with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Stamp out the Bethlehem scene and extras onto Quartz pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Polished Gold embossing powder. Carefully cut around and affix to the card to create a scene. Apply a few lines of dries-clear glue to the bottom and cover with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter.

3 Die-cut a decorative oval from gold mirror card and affix to the car using foam pads. Stamp out the sentiment onto Quartz card using the clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Polished Gold embossing powder. Die-cut using a basic oval die. Affix to the card using foam pads.

4 Stamp the angel onto white cardstock using the Morning Mist inkpad then colour using alcohol markers. Apply dries-clear glue to the trumpet and cover in Dulce de Leche Sparkelicious glitter. Die-cut using the coordinating die. Stamp again onto Quartz pearl card using the clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Polished Gold Superfine embossing powder. Cover the dress in dries-clear glue and cover with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, carefully cut out the dress and affix to the white angel. Stamp again on gold mirror card and heat-resistant acetate using the clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Kir Royale embossing powder. Carefully cut out the wings and affix to the angel. Add a few crystals to hide the glue. Affix to the card using a double layer of foam pads.

5 Tie a triple bow using the cream satin ribbon and affix to the corner of the card. Finally, colour a Sparkler gold and affix to the centre of the bow using 3D glue gel.
