Missed the Summer Foliage Pop-Up Stamp-Along? Catch up here!

Hello Crafters,

Earlier today, I hosted my first Stamp-Along after a short break and I had so much fun!

If you missed it, don't worry, I am here to give you a quick round-up, including links to the downloadable and printable project sheet, the materials you'll need, and then also the video itself!

First thing's first - here's the video you will need to follow. But please read on as there is more information plus the materials/instructions below!

In this Stamp-Along, I created this beautifully stunning pop-out card that incorporates stamping, die-cutting, 3D work, pop-out mechanisms, and glitter... lots of glitter! As you can see, for this card, I opted for a rather subtle colour palette but feel free to make yours in different colours as it would look equally as gorgeous using bright, vivid colourways!

If you have never joined me on a Stamp-Along before, let me explain the concept to you. The idea actually came about during the Covid lockdown - I wanted a way for people to feel like they were attending a workshop without needing to leave the house. The concept is that you will be able to craft along with me while watching the video; it'll be like having a live workshop in the comfort of your own home! You will be able to ask questions and comment as you're watching, and I'll be monitoring it, so will be able to answer you.
With each Stamp-Along I do, I will always post the video on our Facebook Page and onto the Youtube channel, so don't worry if you're not able to 'craft along live', you can catch up and revisit any time you want. Obviously, it would be lovely for you to join me while I'm live, so if you can, I would love for you to!

Below are the instructions and material listing for you to follow along, but to make it even easier for you, I have also created a downloadable, printable version that you'll be able to go back to time and time again.

Pretty Floral Pop-Out Card

I've linked up all the materials you'll need for the Stamp-Along: this way you'll have time to order anything you might need. You can also substitute products with what you've already got in your craft stash. To help save a bit of time, there's also a handy list of elements at the bottom of this page that you need to prep prior to the live video. Doing this will mean that we can all finish the project at the same time!

Materials:

Instructions:

Card Front:

1 Trim a sheet of blue mirror card down to 7¾” square then affix to your 8x8” base card. Next, cut a piece of Aquamarine pearl card to 7½” square and layer onto the blue panel. Cut a piece of Crystal White pearl card to 7¼” square. Dust over the top with an anti-static bag and stamp the Summer Foliage Corner image in the top-left and bottom-right corners using a clear embossing inkpad. Cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set.

2 Using PVA glue with a fine tip applicator, infill the leaves on the stamped image and cover with Lime Zing Sparkelicious glitter. Allow to dry, then edge the Crystal White card using a chisel-tip glue pen. Cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix to your base card using foam pads.

3 Stamp the Summer Foliage Corner image twice onto Aquamarine pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Place the corresponding die over the
image and run through a die-cutting machine. Apply Dries-Clear PVA glue to the flower petals, then cover with Rainbow Blue Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry affix the flowers to your base card using foam pads then embellish the corners using sequins and jewels.

4 Stamp the Summer Foliage panel onto Crystal White pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder, then heat to set. Die-cut your panel using the A5-sized Fancy Rectangle die. Using PVA glue with a fine-tip applicator, infill the leaves on the stamped image and cover with Lime Zing Sparkelicious glitter. Edge the fancy rectangle using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Matt onto a piece of slightly larger blue mirror card and affix to base card using foam pads.

5 Stamp the Summer Foliage panel image onto Crystal White pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder, then heat to set. Cut out the larger leaves and flowers. Apply PVA glue to the leaves and cover with Lime Zing Sparkelicious glitter. Allow to dry then affix to your base card using foam pads for added dimension.

6 Stamp Summer Foliage Panel again onto Crystal White pearl card, this time using a VersaFine Onyx inkpad. Cover with WOW Clear Gloss superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Place the corresponding die from the set over the flowers and die-cut.

7 Infill the centre of the sunflowers with PVA glue then cover with Copper Lumiere Sparkelicious glitter. Infill the sunflower petals with PVA glue, cover with Lemon Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter, allow to dry then affix to the panel using foam pads.

8 Stamp the Summer Foliage Panel image onto Aquamarine pearl card twice using a clear embossing inkpad. Cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Place the corresponding die over the images and die-cut the flowers. Apply dots of PVA glue to the flower petals and cover with Rainbow Blue Sparkelicious glitter. Allow glue to dry then shape the petals by pinching down the centre, layer up the flowers, and affix to the base card.

9 Stamp your sentiment onto Crystal White pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Trim the sentiment to size, matt onto silver mirror card and affix to your base card using foam pads.

10 Finally, fold a sheet of Beautiful Jewels patterned paper in half and affix inside the card blank, just sticking the two long edges down.

Inside:
1 Take an 8x8” card blank, score down the centre on both the front and the back and then fold both sides back on themselves to create four even panels in a concertina style. Place a Basic Circle die in the centre of the card, centrally over the fold, and run through a die-cutting machine to create an aperture.

2 Dust the card with an antistatic bag then stamp the Summer Foliage Corner image in the top-right and bottom-right corners of the card using a clear embossing inkpad. Cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing
powder and heat to set. Infill the leaves using Dries-Clear PVA glue, cover with Lime Zing Sparkelicious glitter, then set aside and allow to dry.

3 Stamp two Summer Foliage Corner images onto Aquamarine pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Place the corresponding die over the corners and run through a die-cutting machine. Apply PVA glue to the petals of the flowers and cover with Rainbow Blue Sparkelicious glitter.

4 Cut two pieces of blue mirror card to 3¾x7¾”, then affix to the left and right panels of the card. Cut two pieces of aquamarine pearl card to 3½x7½”, edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the base card. Cut two pieces of Beautiful Jewels patterned paper to 3¼x7¼”, edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the base card.

5 Cut two pieces of Crystal White pearl card to 2¾x6¾”. Stamp your sentiment onto one panel using a clear embossing inkpad, cover with WOW Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Edge the white panels using a
chisel-tip glue pen, cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix the panels to the card using foam pads.

6 Stamp three flowers from the Summer Foliage Panel and Summer Foliage corner sets onto Aquamarine pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad. Cover with WOW Metallic Silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set. Die-cut the flowers and glitter, shape the flowers, then affix to the base card, embellishing with sequins and jewels.

7 Place a piece of Luxe ribbon on the inside-left and inside-right of the card, stick in place with double-sided tape and stick the card together to complete the pop-out mechanism. Complete the card by tying the ribbons in a bow.

I absolutely loved this video on YouTube. There are so many great techniques that I have learnt from you. I’m hoping to use some of them for my sister’s 40th wedding anniversary card. Thank you so much for all you do. You are an inspiration!
