Christmas Snowflakes - Winter Wonderland Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

DT member extraordinaire, Glynis is the mastermind behind today's Christmas card tutorial and in it she shows a unique way of turning the new 'On the Edge' dies from the recently-launched Winter Wonderland collection into a frosty Christmas wreath! It's a fabulous design that delivers huge impact and it would look equally as beautiful as a framed piece of festive artwork to adorn your walls this Christmastime.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with linked materials list.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut four different size mats: two from Lagoon mirror card, one from Crystal White pearl card, and one from patterned paper from the Winter Wonderland foiled paper pad. Go around the edges of the Crystal White panel with Art Glitter glue and then sprinkle over with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Go around the edges of the patterned paper panel with Sleigh Bells Sparkelicious glitter. Once the glittered panels are dry, matt and layer all four panels together, as shown, and affix to the base card.

2 Die-cut the snowflakes from the On the Edge Snowflake die set eight times in Crystal White pearl card. Glue four of the die-cut pieces together to make two sets and then cover the top ones with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter.

3 Trim a sheet of Lagoon mirror card down to size and die-cut the top and bottom using the outer dies from the On the Edge Snowflakes set. Secure the ribbon around the middle of the mirror card panel and secure onto the base card with foam pads. Adhere both sets of snowflakes on top using dots of Art Glitter glue. Secure the bow and a 12mm Sparkler in place. Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Ice Skate stamp and die set, then matt and layer onto Lagoon mirror card and secure in place with foam pads to finish.
