Happy Birthday Diamond - Beautiful Butterflies Card Tutorial – Chloes Creative Cards

Hello Crafters,

Today we're bringing you a pretty butterfly-themed birthday card with lots of glitter, using the brand-new Beautiful Butterflies collection, created by our incredibly talented Glynis. This sparkly creation uses the Grande Botanical Butterfly stamp and die set from the newly-launched collection alongside items from the recent Blooming Floral collection with great results.

7x10" white card blank

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card to just under 7x10”, apply Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter around all four sides, and attach to the base card with foam pads. Using a sheet of Rose Quartz pearl card, cut down to fit the bottom white layer, then place on the scoreboard. Score two lines all the way around and two more in opposite corners and attach to the bottom piece.

2. Place a piece of A4 double-sided adhesive sheet to the underneath of a piece of Crystal White pearl card and die-cut using the Floral Lace Border die set. Remove the backing and secure onto Rose Quartz pearl card, then matt and layer onto Crystal White pearl card. Apply Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter around the edges and attach to the main card with foam pads.

3. Cover a piece of white card with the double-sided adhesive sheet. Remove the backing, cover with Pink Champagne Sparkelicious glitter, and die-cut the second die in the Floral Lace Diamond die set. Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment onto Crystal White pearl card using the Blooming Sentiment stamp set, die cut with the smaller die from the set, then attach to the glittered die-cut piece and secure onto the base card with foam tape.

4. Cover another piece of white card with double-sided adhesive sheet and die-cut the Grande Botanical Butterfly. Remove the top of the sticky sheet and cover with Pink Champagne Sparkelicious glitter and attach to the main card with Pinflair glue gel.

5. Stamp and heat-emboss the Grande Botanical Butterfly onto acetate using the Wow! Bright White embossing powder. Working from the back, glitter using the Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue and Pink Champagne Sparkelicious glitter. When completely dry, attach to the main butterfly using Pinflair glue gel, then decorate with Pretty Pink Self-Adhesive Sparkles.

6. Decorate the front of the card with Iridescent Floral Sequins and jewels from the Chloe’s Favourites Bling Box to finish.
