Hope Your Birthday - 6x6" and 5x7" Decorative Dies Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's pretty card tutorial, made by the super-talented Glynis, is deceptively quick to make, so is great for those times when you need to make a card in a hurry but still want something with big impact. Glynis uses a fabulous combination of products, including the brand-new 6x6" and 5x7" Decorative die collection to create this terrific birthday card in just a few easy steps.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with full materials list. To view the product page for each individual product, simply click on the product name and you'll be directed to its dedicated page.

YOU WILL NEED:

        INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut three different size matts using Rose Quartz mirror card, Crystal White pearl card (glittering around the four sides of this piece with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter), and patterned paper from the Flower Power paper pad. Matt the patterned paper panel onto the Crystal White panel, then secure these two onto the Rose Quartz mirror card panel using foam pads and attach to the base card. Repeat this for the next layer, as shown, and attach to the base card with foam pads.

2 Using the Decorative Circle die set, cut numbers one and five in Rose Quartz mirror card, number two in patterned paper from the Flower Power paper pad, and number six in Crystal White pearl card. Go around the patterned paper die-cut panel with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then attach to the large Decorative Circle die-cut panel and secure onto the base card. Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Birthday Happiness A6 stamp set onto the white die-cut panel using Metallic Silver embossing powder and the clear inkpad. Adhere to the small Decorative Circle die-cut panel and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

3 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut numerous flowers with the Flower Power stamp and die set onto Crystal White card using Bright White embossing powder.  To get the white lines around all the petals, leave the stamped image in the die and colour with Worn Lipstick Oxide ink. If you don't like the white edges, just remove the petals, and colour all over. Cover the petals with Art Glitter glue and Watermelon Crush Sparkelicious glitter, then, when completely dry, shape the petals and adhere together with Pinflair glue. Die-cut the stamens in Rose Quartz mirror card, glitter the tips using Watermelon Crush Sparkelicious glitter, then attach to the middle of each of the flowers along with a pearl from the Chloe’s Favourites Bling Box.

4 For the foliage, colour a piece of card with Evergreen Bough Oxide ink, then place an A4 double-sided sticky sheet on top. Die-cut the Leafy Foliage numerous times, remove the top of the sticky sheet and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. From the Basic Heart die set, die-cut two small hearts together in Rose Quartz mirror card to create a heart frame, and secure to the base card with Pinflair glue gel. Arrange the flowers and foliage around one half of the circle and secure in place with Pinflair glue gel.
