Frosted Poinsettia - Winter Wonderland Card Tutorial with FREE Project Download Sheet

Hello Crafters,

We have a bonus extra for you in today's tutorial as we've included a FREE project sheet for you to download and keep! To access the PDF tutorial sheet, head to the link at the bottom of the page. Rebecca is the creative force behind this tutorial, using the recently-launched Winter Wonderland collection for the design. This elegant card could be easily adapted, by changing the festive greeting, to winter wedding stationery.

YOU WILL NEED:

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of silver mirror card to 7¾” square and affix to the card blank using dries-clear glue.  Trim white cardstock to 7½” and edge with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Trim a sheet of foiled paper slightly smaller and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim white cardstock to 7¼” square and foiled paper to slightly smaller. Adhere together using dries-clear glue and then edge with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card at an angle using foam pads. Trim silver mirror card to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Cut a double-sided adhesive sheet to size and attach to the card. Peel off the backing and cover with Diamanté Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter.

2 Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square. Die-cut the Winter Poinsettia border from the right-hand side of the panel. Lift all the elements and affix foam pads to the back. Affix to the card. Cover the leaves with dries-clear glue then sprinkle over with Diamanté Sparkle and Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Add dots of glue around the image and cover in Crystals Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Add a few crystals and self-adhesive sparkles to the background.

3 Stamp six small and three medium poinsettias onto vellum using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape the leaves and affix to the card using 3D glue gel. Colour the centre of three sparklers using an alcohol marker and add to the centres of the poinsettias using 3D glue gel.

4 Stamp the verse onto Crystal White pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat set using Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder. Trim around and edge with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Matt onto another Crystal White pearl card panel, also edged in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter, then onto a silver mirror card panel. Affix to the card using foam pads.

5 Tie a triple bow and add to the corner of the verse plaque. Colour in the centre of the sparkle using an alcohol marker and affix to the box using 3D glue gel to finish.
